Our Services
At Aspire Physiotherapy we offer a range of services and treatments for all individuals whether you are an athlete, just like to stay active, or you have experienced recent illness or injury and want to get back to the things you enjoy, and optimise your health and well being. Our services are tailored to your individual needs. See below for the range of services we offer.

Pilates
Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on strength, flexibility, and body awareness. It involves controlled movements and promotes core strength, posture, and alignment. Pilates has become popular among a wide range of individuals for its health benefits, including improved muscle tone, stability, and overall fitness. Unlike traditional strength training, Pilates uses breath control and the mind-body connection, making it a unique approach to physical fitness.
Aspire Pilates Classes:
Here at Aspire we have a range of Pilates classes through the week in West Somerset and Bridgwater. This includes all abilities classes; strength Pilates; gentle Pilates stretch and relaxation; and chair Pilates.
1:1 Pilates:
If you prefer to book a private 1:1 Pilates session these are also available. These sessions are suitable for individuals who are keen to improve their technique and maximise the benefits of their Pilates practice. The session would also benefit those who are not quite ready to join a group session and would like to build their confidence. These 1:1 sessions will involve a functional assessment and movement screening to identify any muscle imbalances and areas to focus on and improve.

Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy supports people to overcome a wide range of conditions affecting muscles, joints, nerves and movement. Your session will involve expert assessment and treatment of your condition. Time will be taken to help you to understand your symptoms, and give you the confidence and tools to empower you an active role in your rehab in order to ensure long-term results. Whether you are recovering from an injury, or wanting to build resilience and prevent injury we can support you. You initial appointment will involve a comprehensive assessment involving a combination of MSK tests, functional screening, muscle strength testing, and assessing mobility. This will form a baseline for us to track your progress, and enable us to provide you with a diagnosis on which to base a treatment plan based on your individual needs and goals. Treatment may involve a combination of treatments including manual therapy, alongside active rehabilitation which will enable you to build endurance through strength and mobility. Following an initial assessment your options will be discussed with you as to how you wish to go forward. Whether you prefer a one off session, or a follow-up, the choice is yours. You will also receive a follow up email summarizing your appointment and rehabilitation plan.

Sports & Remedial Massage
Sports Massage:
Sports massage is ideal for athletes or active individuals. It can promote mobility and help to prepare the body for exercises or an event, or reduce soreness post exercise. It involves deep tissue massage and techniques such as trigger point release, stretching and soft tissue release.
Remedial massage:
This is ideal for individuals who prefer a gentler form of massage. It would suit individuals who have high levels of tension, stress or stiffness; or those just wanting to relax and unwind.

Coaching
Whether you’re a seasoned athlete chasing national or world‑level success, a club runner or cyclist who loves competing locally, training for your first 5K, preparing for a big event, or simply aiming to stay active and maintain your fitness, we’re here to help you reach your goals. At Aspire, we’re passionate about helping individuals unlock their true potential and achieve things they never thought possible. Sharn brings a rare blend of scientific expertise and real athletic experience. With deep knowledge of human physiology, evidence‑based training principles, and years of racing at the highest level—including representing Great Britain at European and World Championships in cross‑triathlon and elite mountain biking, earning bronze, silver, and gold medals—she truly understands the demands training places on the body and what it takes to succeed.

Running gait analysis
Your running gait is the sequence of movements that shapes your entire technique. It influences everything—from the top speed you can achieve to how vulnerable you may be to injury, especially if your form isn’t working in your favour. Just like fingerprints, no two running styles are the same. What feels natural and efficient for one runner could be uncomfortable—or even harmful—for another, which is why understanding your unique gait is so valuable.
At Aspire, we provide a comprehensive running gait analysis service that takes an in‑depth look at your movement patterns while also identifying any muscle imbalances that may be holding you back. By understanding how your body moves and where improvements can be made, we help you enhance running efficiency, boost performance, and reduce your risk of injury
